Handcart Ensemble

Pulitzer Prize-Winning Poet Paul Muldoon on Handcart’s The Burial at Thebes

“I simply can’t imagine a better production of The Burial at Thebes. Handcart Ensemble is a spectacularly gifted group, absolutely equal to the subtleties of Heaney’s text. I’ll go anywhere to see anything they do.” —Paul Muldoon

Munk’d

Ordet has closed, the sad reality we planned on when we began this venture. But what a run we had! Excellent cast members and a new level of theater achievement for us here at Handcart Ensemble. Something we won’t forget anytime soon. Thank you, cast, crew, audience.

The show was one of the best things I have seen in the city in quite some time, and I see almost every production for my work. I had never heard of you guys before, but this production really got you out into the community. Great work to all involved!
